Campaign Story

My name is Michelle and my husband’s name is April. We have been married for 16 years now and been wanting to have a child to complete our family. I have been diagnosed with PCOS and we have been trying to conceive for more than 10 years now. We tried other treatment like IUI (intrauterine insemination) for 5 rounds but only two of them got me pregnant but both resulted to chemical pregnancies and only lasted for 2 and 3 weeks and it was so devastating but we never lose hope. Another challenge came last year. We were so happy to find out that I got pregnant naturally. But after 8 weeks, I was diagnosed with molar pregnancy (where there is no formation of fetus) so my doctor had to remove it with D&C (dilation and cutterage).

Now that I am 41 years old and had 3 unsuccessful pregnancies, we are hoping that IVF is the right journey for us to complete our family. There isn’t a price that we wouldn’t pay to bring a child into this world but unfortunately this treatment is not covered by our insurance.
